Start with the user and the purpose
Describe who will carry the bag and what they need to carry. A student school bag, commuter backpack and compact handbag need different layouts. List the essential contents and the intended use before choosing decorative details. A reference image explains a direction, but it cannot show every internal compartment or construction detail.
Send references with clear annotations
Provide front, back, side and interior views when available. Mark which details you want to keep and which should change. Include overall height, width and depth, and explain how those measurements were taken. For device storage, give the actual device dimensions rather than only its advertised screen size.
Specify materials and branding
Describe your preferred outer fabric, lining, color and finish. If you have a physical fabric reference, discuss how to share it. Ask the factory to review suitable alternatives if the material is undecided. Provide logo artwork you are authorized to use, its size, placement and colors. The decoration method should be discussed with the selected fabric and construction.
Explain pockets, straps and closures
List the pocket purpose, opening direction and approximate size. Include strap length and adjustment needs, handles, padding, zippers and hardware preferences. Identify the details that are essential and those that can change after reviewing the sample. Do not assume an exterior photograph communicates the lining, seams or reinforcement.
Include quantity and delivery context
State your estimated quantity per style and color, destination country, packaging requirements and any target delivery date. Price and feasibility depend on the agreed specification. Ask for clarification of what the quotation includes and how shipping arrangements will be confirmed. Sample cost, production quantity and schedule should be agreed for your project.
Check the brief before sending
Include your reference files, dimensions, material preferences, logo artwork, pocket and strap requirements, quantity by color and destination. Mark unknown details as open questions. Send the brief through the inquiry form or discuss it directly with the Bagforma factory team. A clear brief reduces assumptions, while the approved sample confirms the final construction.
